
Leroy Newman, Chairman
Leroy Newman has been the President & CEO for PenSoft since 1990. He is responsible for the entire strategic and operational planning of the company’s products and services. Prior to his position at PenSoft, he was an officer in the United States Air Force. Mr. Newman graduated with a Masters of Public Administration degree from Ball State University European Extension in 1975 and received his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from General Motors Institute in 1968.

Laura Barnes – Treasurer
Laura Barnes is currently the Area Manager for Verizon and is responsible for government and external affairs for Eastern Virginia. She started her career with C&P Telephone Company and was promoted numerous times to her current position. She currently serves on several boards throughout the entire Hampton Roads area. She is a graduate of St. Leo University with a B.A. in Human Resource Administration and a graduate of Troy State University with a M.S. in Human Resource Management.

Bill Muir – Secretary
Bill Muir has been associated with Vectec since its inception in 1994. Mr. Muir is Vice-Chairman of the Southeastern Virginia Electronic Commerce Forum, Co-Chairman and Charter Member of Virginia’s Internet Technology Innovation Center (Internet TIC) Board of Directors, and past member of the Joint Commission on Science & Technology. He has a Bachelor of Science in Governmental Administration (B.S.G.A.), from Christopher Newport University.

Tom Sarach
Tom Sarach has been employed with Reliance Staffing Services for over 18 years. In 1990 Tom started work as a placement specialist with Reliance Staffing Services. In 1995, Tom founded COATS (Complete Office and Automation for Temporary Staffing) after first successfully designing it to manage Reliance’s daily operations. COATS is now marketed and sold nationwide. Tom, who is currently President of Reliance Staffing, received his BS in Computer Science in 1979 from Old Dominion University.

Mansour Zadeh
Mansour Zadeh is the Chief Information Officer at Smithfield Foods. In this role, he oversees the information technology advancement of all Smithfield Food Companies. Prior to his arrival at Smithfield, he was the Chief Technology Officer for Kraft Foods and he led information technology at Miller Brewing Company and directed information services at PepsiCo’s Pizza Hut International. Mansour holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Program.
