Director's Letter
To our new clients, existing clients, friends, supporters and members of the VECTEC family, I would like to bring you up to date on some of the exciting activities that have happened here at VECTEC during the past several months.
First, I would like to take this opportunity to once again pass along our sincere appreciation and thanks to Delegate Phil Hamilton for his continued strong support of VECTEC. Through Phil’s efforts during the 2007 General Assembly we were able to secure continued funding through 2007-2008.

VECTEC Helps Group Recruit New Physicians to Virginia Peninsula
 Think it’s tough getting in to see a doctor? You haven’t seen anything yet.
National experts predict a shortage of 90,000 physicians by 2020 if current trends continue, and the Virginia Peninsula is already experiencing shortages of some specialists such as general surgeons, internal medicine practitioners, neurosurgeons, obstetricians/gynecologists and anesthesiologists.

Search Engine Results Page: Understanding & Controlling Your Free Listings
 Every page listed on a SERP (Search Engine Result Page) has a clickable link to the page, a “snippet” of text about the page, and links to additional search engine resources. These additional links may include the engine’s cached copy (how the page appeared the last time the engine looked at it), similar pages, or a “more from this site” link. Understanding how search engines decide what text to use for the clickable link and snippet allows site owners a greater degree of control on how their pages appear in SERPs.
