To our new clients, existing clients, friends, supporters and members of the VECTEC family, I would like to bring you up to date on some of the exciting activities that have happened here at VECTEC during the past several months.

Search Engine Results Page: Understanding & Controlling Your Free Listings

Search EnginesEvery page listed on a SERP (Search Engine Result Page) has a clickable link to the page, a “snippet” of text about the page, and links to additional search engine resources. These additional links may include the engine’s cached copy (how the page appeared the last time the engine looked at it), similar pages, or a “more from this site” link. Understanding how search engines decide what text to use for the clickable link and snippet allows site owners a greater degree of control on how their pages appear in SERPs.
