The following is Vectec’s contractor qualification process for all web development vendors wishing to be added to the preferred, qualified contractor list for the Fredericksburg Matching Grant program.
- Submit to a telephone interview or in extenuating circumstances, a face-to-face interview with the Chief Information Officer at the Vectec offices
- Submit a portfolio of all work completed
- Be willing to have at a minimum 3 references contacted from your portfolio, randomly selected by Vectec
- Be willing to sign a “contractor’s agreement” to accept projects that are affordable and be willing to follow Vectec project procedures and timelines managed by the Vectec CIO
- Be willing to accept a 50% up front payment for their services and the remaining 50% when the client approves and accepts the site and pays their remaining balance
- Be willing to accept a non-compete clause for 1 year after completion of the project
- Provide a W-9 if accepted for this program
