Vectec has partnered with several organizations and localities to offer a Matching Grant for services.

City of Fredericksburg $2,000
Not to exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Must be a business located in the City of Fredericksburg – Required to show business license with grant application
  • Must be legal, ethical and commercially viable

James City County $2,000
Not to exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Be an operating business with at least one place of business physically located in the County
  • Be current in filing and payment of all taxes due to the County
  • Be in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances and regulations
  • Be a for-profit business.

City of Hampton $10,000
Not to exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Must be a for-profit business currently licensed in and with its principal office located within the City of Hampton
  • Projects must be legal, no adult only material, ethical, and commercially viable
  • Applicants must use preapproved Certified E-Commerce Grant Service Providers
  • Grant funds cannot be awarded for a project which has been initiated prior to the approval of a grant application
  • Grants are to be used for the creation or enhancement of e-commerce sites and cannot be used for domain registration, web hosting, general maintenance services, or annual subscriptions
  • Certified Service Providers are not eligible to receive grants for their own websites or to create or make enhancements to an affiliated business website

Gloucester $2,000
Not to exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Must be a business located in Gloucester

City of Williamsburg $1,500
Not to exceed 50% of the project cost
  • Businesses must be for-profit, have a current City Business License, and be located in the City of Williamsburg, with no more than three physical locations in the City, and no locations outside of the City
  • The same business may not receive more than one grant within a 12-month period

  • Must be a business located in Newport News with a current business license
