The PenSoft E-Business Resource Center at the Virginia
Electronic Commerce Technology Center (VECTEC) is a multi-discipline E-Business resource.
The E-Business Resource Center's web presence was developed during the summer of 2001 by the VECTEC staff and in
the summer of 2004 the Center became formally known as the PenSoft E-Business Center after
a
pledge by PenSoft President and CEO Leroy Newman to sponsor research activities
associated with the free online resource center.
Center Resources
The PenSoft Center is one of two research facilities available through VECTEC, and is updated
on a weekly basis by student research assistants. The Center includes more than 1,000 articles
and stats for small to medium-size businesses contained with 14 e-business topic areas
regarding e-commerce, Internet marketing, search engine optimization, security, law and
other subjects. The main features of the E-Business Resource Center are:

- Search function
The E-Business Research Center is an in-depth
resource for all aspects of E-Business. The issues covered will be found in the form of related
links and articles, as well as regional and state resources. In addition, there are statistics
for each category as well as guidelines on creating a "model web site."
Education is integral to VECTEC's mission and goals. The features of the E-Business Resource
Center currently serve as resource for community colleges and high schools across the
Commonwealth. In addition, The E-Business Resource Center is being utilized by CNU's
Business School in its e-commerce program.
