- Creators publish blogs, maintain Web pages, or upload videos
- Critics participate in either of two ways: commenting on blogs and posting ratings and reviews on sites
- Collectors share with the entire community, e.g. social bookmarking
- Joiners use a social networking site like My Space or Facebook.
- Spectators sit back and watch
- Inactives do not participate at all in social computing activities.
